Must start getting organised...

Christmas seemed sooo far away last month!!  Everyone else I know seems to be ready, (or almost ready!), with cards written and posted, presents brought, and tree and decorations all up!!!  ME?? nah...I AM trying to get excited and in the 'christmassy' mood, honest!

Well, one reason I can't get motivated into the Christmas spirit is because of my leg....

Not major surgery, all done under local anaesthetic, but I have to have this on for 5 days, then it's replaced by another support stocking for a further 7 days.....such an alluring look!!!  My main problem is that I can't drive until next Wednesday!!  AAaaarrgh...Must admit though, OH has been fabulous, so can't moan there!!!  He makes sure that I sit down very frequently with my leg up etc, made dinners and even passed me glasses of wine!!  :)

Maybe I shouldn't be such a 'bah humbug' person, as I have received these lovely paper ceiling decorations through the post, a lot faster than I expected.....they remind me of my childhood, and have had difficulty finding them...

And also, my cracker swap should be on its way to me soon... :)

Maybe I'll flick through some of your blogs, I'm sure they will inspire me to attempt to make some Christmas cards, dig out the decorations, and generally kick my bum into gear!!!

    1. Glad it's not just me and my stupid leg that can't get Christmassy Karen and it's probably cheaper to phone people to wish them a Happy Christmas than post a card!!! :)

  4. Sorry to see your leg like that Debi, what have you done to it?
I have a day to myself today, Rog and Oli are out together, so I'm going to design my Christmas greetings message and put up the tree, hopefully finish knitting my pressie for Marissa, and generally get into the spirit. Its best not to do things too early, else it all seems to go on far too long, I think!
Hope you'll be up and running before too long. xx

  5. Just some vein ripping out Joy, nothing major!! Have a lovely day while you're on your own, and I agree with you that if you do things too early it does go on for far too long!! :)

  6. Hi Debi, it's so frustrating when you can't drive isn't, bet there are lots of places you just want to pop to but can't! I hope you are on the mend very soon make the most of the being looked after! I have to say we had a mad rush of being all christmassy as the beginning of the month and now things have died down a bit.
i can't wait to see what's inside your cracker!!!
