The Sun Is Out!!

After many many weeks of grey cloud hanging over this area, my spirits have been lifted at seeing the sun eventually being able to break through!!  So, with many seeds to sort through, and a bag of seed compost at the ready, off I went to get things moving!  It is almost time for my allotment to be dug over (by a tractor, so not too much back breaking work for me!!) and I intend to be on top of things this year (she says!!).

I have just planted some primulas/primrose in the ground, and it has pleased me immensely to see them in position with their lovely colours smiling at me and cheering me up....next I need some chrysanthemums  to put behind them!!

I found this piece of metal (the squirly thing in the picture!!) on the beach and just HAD to drag it home! I thought it would be a good piece of garden sculpture to hang bird food on!! Not sure it went down well with the rest of the household members!!

Also, I need to get my package to send to Amanda from http://craftyinthemed.blogspot.co.uk/ as part of the Easter swap I entered into via Joy's blog here
I do love a good swap, and will be getting this all together to post out before Easter!!
I have been very busy over these past few weeks, as my mum has to have a operation soon, and there are many appointments to go to prior to it, so my normal browsing at all your blogs has been put on the back burner, and also taking photographs to put onto AKCB has not been possible....there are just not enough hours in the day (as I'm always saying!!)  But today, just for a few minutes/hours I will be taking the time out to catch up with it all!

Right, now that's all done, back to a quick cuppa, and on with my normal tasks!!

  1. Hi Debi, you are so lucky to see the sun, its still grey and gloomy here and has been for ages. I have things in my greenhouse/conservatory but they are almost dormant because its soooo cold. I didn't get the seed swap going, in the end I decided it was just likely to take up too much time, of which I have precious little to spare these days!
Do hope your mum's operation goes smoothly, best of luck to her. Glaad you managed a little bit of a time-out and a cuppa. Hope to see you back soon,
    Joy x x
