Meet Cyril and Gladys....

Meet Cyril and Gladys, the new birds on the flock!!

Not been on here since May!  Time flies by, but thought I'd update my lagging blog with the new birds, Cyril the cockerel, and Gladys his mate!   This is how they looked in May (before I knew that I had a cockerel!)...

And this is them now....

Is it me or does he look a bit like Foghorn Leghorn (if anyone knows what I'm rambling on about, its a cartoon!!)

I've also been reading lots of blogs trying to catch up on what's going on around the world, and came across http://creativechaosnz.blogspot.co.uk  where Kimberley is arranging a "Send Us Christmas" swap!  I've added my name, so just gotta wait to see who I am partnered up with!!   I have been partnered in a swap with Kimberley before, and she sent me the most lovely gifts which you can see here and it's so nice to receive goodies through the post instead of bills!!  Why not pop over to her blog and join in?  :)

  3. Hehe Cyril definitely looks like foghorn leghorn. Thanks so much for popping by my blog. You asked about the yoga socks. I crocheted them and they are really simple to make. I am hoping to get a chance to do a tutorial at some point.

  4. He is a very proud looking cockerel...We kept chickens for a while, but weren't very successful...We had Tikka and Marsala, Fluffy, (she had a very fluffy bum), Flossie, Raoul the cockerel, and then later came Speckled Jim the cockerel. We had a couple of others too, but sadly I've forgotten their names... Speckled Jim was the only one that was successfully raised from an egg. His sisters were killed by a hawk (we guess).

  9. Hi there. Thank you for your comment on my blog. Co-incidentally I was just commenting here when an email came through with your comment on. I'd been meaning to catch up with you regarding the swap that Kimberley has arranged and have been reading your posts to get an idea of your likes and dislikes etc. Perhaps we can have a chat via email and exchange addresses some time. Don't want to put mine here though. I'll look into how. Patricia
