Such Beautiful Colours Around ..
At the moment, the countryside is changing in a beautiful way. I love this time of year, purely for the fine array of autumnal colours, not because I know the weather will soon remove the leaves, turn the sky grey, and the heating will have to go on!! While walking out and about the other day, the sun was shining, the wind was warm, and you could be forgiven if you thought summer was just beginning, not ending. Short sleeved t-shirt, thin jeans and sandals were the order of the day!! The corn field opposite me had be cut back a few weeks ago, and the evening sunshine revealed a huge amount of spider webs joining the remaining stalks together like a huge blanket. Unfortunately I did try to catch it in a photograph, but not very well.....if you look closely you may be able to make out the fine threads....the whole field was covered!!
Out at the back of my house, at the end of my garden, but outside of my fence, is a large sycamore (well, I think it is!) tree, and I watch it's progress daily, every year to see when it comes into bloom, and then as it looses its lovely leaves.....I did start to take a daily picture, but as it is very slow to change this year, I am doing it when I notice a bigger difference. Now the leaves are turning brown bit by bit, and although there are plenty of leaves on the ground....
there are still plenty on the tree!!!
As the sun sets, it leaves a lovely glow along the road, as well as the fields, but I do not have a good enough camera to show you how beautiful it really is, so apologies for the pictures...
My next trek will be to the woods, hopefully, where there are plenty of reds, golds, browns and greens, I'm sure......
glad you are enjoying autumn.
